VPARVOXVisionX V4 NAME

vparvox − smooth the edges of a pre-labeled image for skin segmentation

SYNOPSIS

vparvox if=<infile> of=<ofile>

DESCRIPTION

vparvox smooths bumps in the edges of the body prior to skin segmentation. The CT image before input must be labeled in the following way: 0- reconstruction limits, 100- air, 200- all tissue. vparvox re-labels a pixel as tissue if it has a neighbor that is tissue and is adjacent to the image border(the no data section). Its main purpose is to eliminate erroneous one or two pixel bumps near the edges of the image without performing morphological operations.

CONSTRAINT

Input file must be labeled short image.
